Annual Fisherman's Harbor and Seafood Festival: Events include: free boatrides, kid's games, a nautical flea market, skiff race, live music, and much more...Back this year will be "Best Smoked Salmon on the Coast" contest, with celebrity judges and its open to all. The event will have tockets on sale $1.00 each with food prices ranging from 1-5 tickets per item. Proceeds from the event are used to improve and maintain the pier. Redwood Coast Riders:This annual event begins at Arena Cove in Point Arena, California and is open to all motorcycle riders. Registration commences at 9:30 a.m. and the run takes off at approximately 11:00 a.m. The return finishes at Arena Cove for a catered BBQ , bike games, music, raffles, door prizes and Ride in Bike Show. Everyone is Welcome! All proceeds benefit the Redwood Coast Riders vocational scholarship fund. Point Arena Fireworks display and independence day parade: yearly on July 3rd a magnificent fireworks at Point Arena Pier on the oceanfront along with live music, dancing, food, fun for kids and adults. Then on July 4th There is an independence Day parade on Main St (hwy 1) in downtown Point Arena.
Bowling Ball State Beach: The beach and headlands preserve a scenic spot along the Mendocino Coast and offers a stunning perch for watching sunsets, or merely sitting in the grass as the afternoon sun glistens on the waters below. Fishing, picnicking, and surfing are popular activities here.
A small parking area with two trailheads is on the west side of the highway. The southern trail leads to Schooner Gulch Beach and the northern trail provides access to Bowling Ball Beach.

The state beach is located three miles south of Point Arena, where Schooner Gulch Road intersects State Highway 1.
